Chocolate Avocado Protein Smoothie

I had a super light breakfast this morning before my workout. So after a great 3 mile run, I was ready for some major refueling.  My chocolate avocado protein smoothie did the trick.  Don't be intimidated by the fact that this smoothie has avocado; you can't even taste it after you blend it up with a few other ingredients.  In fact, it tastes just like a chocolate milkshake!

You'll need:

4 oz. skim milk 
1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
1 tbsp. wheat germ
1 scoop (38 grams) of chocolate whey protein powder (I used Body Fortress Super Advanced Whey Protein)
1/4 avocado
1 pack of stevia
4-5 ice cubes



Put all ingredients in a blender. Blend on high until smooth. Enjoy!


This smoothie has about 38.75 grams of protein and about 310 calories.  This smoothie is high calorie, so like anything, consume in moderation.  Use it as a meal replacement or save it for a post-workout treat when you're really drained.
