Banana Berry Green Smoothie



I enjoyed this yummy smoothie for breakfast this morning. It's packed with fruit (and veggies!) and tons of fiber! Enjoy :)

You'll need:

1 small, very ripe banana or 1/2 of a medium ripe banana
1 cup of spinach
1 cup of mixed frozen berries (I used 3/4 cup raspberries and 1/4 cup blueberries)
5-10 ice cubes
1/4 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1 tbsp. wheat germ (optional, but a good source of fiber)
1 tbsp. chia seeds (optional)
6 oz. skim milk
1/4 cup plain, non-fat Greek yogurt

Blend all ingredients until smooth! This recipe makes enough for 2 servings, but I had this as a meal replacement so I drank the entire smoothie.
