Wedding Weekend Recovery

My amazing sister got married this weekend! The weather was fantastic, the ceremony was beautiful, and the reception was so much fun! Let's not forget the food, though... 




From late night snacking with the bridesmaids to the rehearsal dinner, it seemed like all I did this weekend was eat! And let's not forget the wedding cake....

So this week I'm recovering and getting back on track! Here's what today's diet and exercise has consisted of:

Breakfast:  Scrambled egg whites, coffee, and whole wheat toast with my clean eating, homemade blackberry jam.

Workout:  40 minutes of strength training and 20 minutes on the elliptical.

Post-workout: 6 oz. plain, nonfat greek yogurt with one scoop of vanilla protein powder mixed in

Lunch:  1/2 cup roasted red pepper & tomato soup with edamame and a small garden salad with ginger dressing

Here's what I have planned for the rest of the day:

Afternoon Snack:  1 serving of almonds, 1 cup of green tea

Dinner: Chicken breast and steamed veggies

Evening Snack:  Apple with PB2

And of course... TONS of water throughout the day
